Fort Lauderdale Addiction Therapy

***77 percent of participants who receive neurofeedback in conjunction with a 12-Step program remain abstinent at 12 months, compared to 44 percent of those who didn’t receive neurofeedback according to a UCLA study published in the American Journal of Drug and Alcohol Abuse.

When a person first begins to experiment with drugs or alcohol, they may believe they have found an effective way to cope with stress, disappointment or trauma. However, when they continue to self-medicate, their mind and body become dependent on the substance. And that’s where the 12-step program comes into play.  This program, in addition to our addiction therapy and nutrition programs, helps clients learn how to manage their stress without drugs or alcohol.

Addiction Treatment Programs

All clients are different, which is why all treatment programs at Florida Addiction & Recovery Center are aimed to cater to the specific needs of the individual. We consider clients’ backgrounds and the extent of their addiction to determine an appropriate combination of therapies for their recovery. Our addiction treatment programs involve an array of drug addiction therapy methods to help addicts manage their triggers and stay sober.

Alcohol abuse seeps into the lives of both alcoholics and their families. Consequently, during treatment addicts must learn how to live their lives without alcohol. Part of our alcohol addiction therapy involves going on excursions, giving clients a chance to practice their social skills in a sober setting. It is our belief that through these trips, counselors can help clients learn how to function in society.

We will customize a program specifically for you and your needs, in order to offer you or your loved one the best chance at success. We work with clients throughout their treatment to help them stay healthy and sober.
